From IRCC Website January 9, 2023—Ottawa Canada and 36 other countries have a collective agreement for inviting young internationals to each other's countries to contribute valuable and diverse skills as well as coming back home with international perspective. On January 9, 2023 Canada opened the International Experience Canada (IEC) program and invited 11,490 candidates to apply for their work permits in the first round of invitations. IEC helps youth explore new cultures, languages and societies, all while developing life skills and improving their job prospects for the future. ● The program has 3 participation categories: 1. Working Holiday participants receive an open work permit that allows them to work anywhere in the host country to support their travels. 2. International Co-op (Internship) participants receive an employer-specific work permit that allows students to gain targeted experience in their field of study. 3. Young Professionals participants receive an employer-specific work permit to gain targeted, professional work experience that is within their field of study or career path. HOW: Submit your online profile to get invited to apply and then apply to receive your work permit. Eligibility & Requirements: You’ll be able to work and travel in Canada for up to 2 years. The age of participants ranges from 18 to 35, depending on their country.
