Are you interested in applying for permanent residence in Canada through the Express Entry system? Here is a step-by-step guide to help you get started:
Step 1: Find out if you're eligible. There are two ways to determine if you meet the minimum requirements for one of the Express Entry programs: answering a few questions or reading the detailed requirements for each program.
Step 2: Check your score. If you're eligible for one of the programs and submit your profile, you'll be ranked in the Express Entry pool using the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). The CRS is a points-based system that assesses and scores your profile, and ranks it in the pool. To be invited to apply, you need to have a score above the minimum points score for your round of invitations.
Step 3: Get your documents ready. If you decide to fill out a profile, you'll need to provide certain documents, such as language test results, to demonstrate your eligibility for Express Entry. Some of these documents can take a while to obtain, so it's a good idea to get them ready in advance.
Step 4: Fill out your profile. Your Express Entry profile is where you provide information about yourself. If you're eligible, your profile will be accepted into the pool of candidates and you'll be given a CRS score.
Step 5: Get an invitation and apply. The candidates with the highest scores in the pool will be invited to apply for permanent residence. If you receive an invitation, you'll have 60 days to submit your application. Most complete applications with all supporting documents will be processed within six months or less.
